Service & heart of the house

Remembers every regular and every favourite drink. Truly every one.

Since 1927

The History of the House

1927

Grandfather opens the mountain inn

One parlour, six tables and the best speck in the valley – nothing more was needed at the start. People paid with eggs, too.

1968

The first guest rooms

The hayloft becomes four rooms with a wash basin and a mountain view – the first summer guests stay a full two weeks.

1994

Remodelling the parlour

Theresa’s parents carefully remodel the parlour: the old wood stays, a new kitchen arrives – the cheese-dumpling recipe stays the same anyway.

2012

Theresa & Jakob take over

A fourth generation, new ideas: herb walks, a wine cellar, our own farm shop – and the promise that the inn stays an inn.

2024

Rooms fitted out in Swiss pine

The Brandhofer joinery fits out three rooms and the apartment in local Swiss pine – the wood comes from our own forest.
